Fees
Every fee on Gamapad, who pays it and where it goes.
Current fees
Every fee is set in the contracts and shown before you sign. The numbers on this page are read from the fee contract, so they always match what a transaction will charge. There are three fees: a one-time launch fee, a standard trade fee on every buy and sell, and an optional creator tax that each creator chooses for their own token.

A token’s full trade fee is the standard fee plus its creator tax. The token page and the trade panel show the exact rate for that token, and the panel breaks it down before you sign.
How a trade fee is taken
Trade fees are always paid in ETH, never in tokens. They are taken inside the same transaction as your trade.
When you buy
The fee comes off the ETH you send. The rest buys tokens.
When you sell
The fee comes off the ETH the sale returns. You receive the rest.
The rate is the same before and after graduation. On the bonding curve the curve contract takes the fee; in the Uniswap v4 pool a hook on the pool takes it, so the pool itself charges no extra LP fee.
Worked example
Here is a 0.1 ETH buy of a token whose creator chose a 2% creator tax, calculated with the current 1% standard fee. The split is computed the same way the contracts compute it.

Where fees go
Gamapad’s share
For tokens launched now, 0.5% of every trade goes to Gamapad. That is part of the 1% standard fee. The launch fee goes to Gamapad as well.
The creator’s share
The creator receives the rest of the 1% standard fee (0.5% of every trade) plus 100% of the creator tax.
The creator’s share is paid in ETH into the fee vault contract with every trade, on the curve and in the pool. It adds up automatically and the creator can claim it at any time. See Creator earnings.
The split between Gamapad and the creator is recorded for each token when it launches. A later change to that split only applies to tokens launched after it.
Guardrails
The contracts limit what fees can ever be, and how they can change:
- A token’s creator tax is set once at launch and can never change.
- The standard fee can never exceed 2%. The creator tax can never exceed 10%. Standard fee plus creator tax can never exceed 12%.
- A change to the standard fee is scheduled on-chain first and shown on this page and on token pages. It takes effect only after at least 24 hours.
- A new launch fee only applies to tokens launched after the change. It never affects existing tokens.
- Every trade carries the maximum fee you were shown. If the fee goes up before your transaction lands, it is rejected instead of charging you more.
Network gas
Every transaction also pays network gas. Gas goes to the GIWA Sepolia network, not to Gamapad, and is usually very small. Your wallet shows the exact amount before you confirm. A transaction that fails on-chain still uses gas, so keep a little ETH in your wallet.
