Risk disclosures
The risks of launching and trading tokens. Read this before you trade.
Before you trade
Only use money you can afford to lose completely.
This page describes the main risks of launching and trading tokens on Gamapad. Please read it before you buy anything. It is not a complete list: new risks can appear, and you are responsible for your own decisions.
Tokens can lose all their value
Anyone can launch a token, and most won’t last. Prices can fall quickly and can reach zero. You can lose all of the ETH you spend, including the fees you paid on the way in.
Testnet has no real value
Locked liquidity is not a guarantee
After graduation the pool’s liquidity is locked forever and can’t be withdrawn. That protects the pool itself, nothing more.
It doesn’t stop holders, including the creator, from selling their tokens, and every sale lowers the price. It doesn’t protect against falling prices, contract bugs or network outages. See Graduation for how the lock works.
Prices move with every trade
On the bonding curve and in the pool, the price changes with every buy and sell, and larger trades move it more. What you receive can differ from the quote, within the slippage limit you choose. Fees and price impact mean that buying and then selling right away returns less ETH than you spent. See Buying and selling.
Anyone can copy a name
Tokens on Gamapad are created by users. They are not reviewed, vetted or endorsed by Gamapad, and a listing on Gamapad says nothing about a project’s quality or intentions.
A token can use the same name, ticker or image as a well-known project or another token. Always check the contract address on the token page before you buy. See Security for how to verify a token.
Transactions can’t be undone
Blockchain transactions are final. Once a transaction is confirmed, nobody can reverse it, including Gamapad. ETH sent to the wrong address, tokens bought by mistake or fees claimed to the wrong wallet can’t be recovered. Check the network, the address and the amount before you sign.
Contracts and networks can fail
Smart contracts can contain bugs. The Gamapad contracts are tested, but tests can’t rule out every bug. Networks, wallets, RPC providers and data feeds can go down or show stale data, and prices on Gamapad may update late. A problem in any of them can delay or block a trade, or cause a loss.
Gamapad is independent
Gamapad is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by GIWA or Upbit. Their names are used only to describe the network Gamapad runs on.
Not financial advice
